This week: Heather Ames from Kansas City, Missouri and her 2009 Nissan 370Z Touring.

Tell us a little bit about yourself: I'm an aspiring automotive photographer, car enthusiast and I love Chipotle. And puppies.

Tell us about your car: I have a 2009 Nissan 370Z Touring. Modifications include exhaust, S-Tune Wing and various decals for horsepower.

How did you come to own your car? I've had my Z for 5+ years; I got my Z right before my 18th birthday. I've loved cars since I was a kid. I spent hours, days, weeks searching for this "perfect" car. When I finally got it, I used every penny from my graduation money to make my first car payment.

What do you like to do with your car? I love to attend car events, and cruises. I currently daily my Z, and am hoping to add more modifications in the future and attend some track days!

What has been your favorite part about owning your car? My favorite part about owning my car has been the world that it's introduced me to. I have met so many awesome people through the car community, people that share the same interests and passion for the automotive world.

What has your car taught you? A response I seem to hear a lot is that a car is just a car. It goes from point A to point B. But I feel that it's not just that, there's actually so much more to a car than that. My car has taught me a lot about myself. Finding something that I was passionate about, and working hard for that, and never giving up on it allowed me to earn my dream car. And that showed me that if I apply that same dedication to other parts of life, anything is possible. The fact that you can take something, like a shell or a brand new car, and build it from the ground up or work every day to pay for it, teaches you a lot about yourself. It's a life experience.
