Odi continues to succeed, Ken Gushi achieves his first podium since 2009 and Mad Mike Whiddett returns
There is never a dull moment at Road Atlanta, the track known for hosting Formula Drift's inaugural event in 2004.
Aurimas "Odi" Bakchis took home first place Saturday night, with this being his second podium finish in a row (he placed second at Long Beach last month). Unlike Long Beach, where he drove his Hyundai Genesis Coupe, Odi used his '98 Nissan 240SX. Ken Gushi drove his Scion FR-S to second place. Gushi has not been on the podium since 2009. 2014 Formula Drift champion Chris "The Force" Forsberg came in third.
Tanner Foust competed at Road Alanta, following his efforts in Long Beach. Foust is running a partial season in 2015 and will drive at Irwindale, October 9 and 10.
New Zealander Mad Mike Whiddett also made an appearance at Road Atlanta in his '14 Mazda MX-5 equipped with a four-rotor twin turbo engine.
